The Audi S3 has a standard capacity of 265 hp and 350 Nm torque thanks O. CT Tuning has been a BS3 with 328 hp and 425 Nm max torque.


The Swiss Boehler Color Concepts is responsible for the exterior of this opgepepte S3, they have the name given to BS3. The Boehler BS3 is almost a second faster from 0 to 100 (default 5.7 seconds) and achieves a top speed of 265 km / h (standard 250 km / h).

eBay Find of the Day: Sole remaining 1995 Ford Thunderbird SVT prototype

It might not be the very first production Thunderbird ever made, but it is a pretty special T-Bird nonetheless, and it is up for auction, not at Barrett-Jackson, but rather on eBay Motors. Item number 190283235126 is a rare, 1 of 4, 1995 Ford Thunderbird SVT Concept prototype.


The description tells us that the other three were crushed by the Blue Oval, making this the sole survivor. What makes this SVT concept special is the engine. It features a turbocharged 4.8L V8 instead of the supercharged V6 that went into the production Thunderbird SC. Black with a gray leather interior, it appears to have aged well, with nearly 70,000 miles on the clock.


The car has been with one owner for the past ten years and was featured in Makes & Models Magazine in 2005. Unfortunately, it has a few non-stock "upgrades," including a racing fuel cell and a fiberglass hood with an airbrushed bird on the underside. EDAG Light Car Concept The Light Car's exterior dimensions (4.0 meters long and 1.70 meters wide) put it in the compact car size range. However, thanks to its in-wheel drive system that eliminates the need of an engine and gearbox, it features an extra-long wheelbase of 2.90 meters, or 2mm longer than that of the BMW 5-Series sedan.


There's no doubt that this year's Geneva Salon in March will be jam-packed with electric and hybrid vehicles of all sorts. EDAG, a German design and engineering firm that has created anything from a Pontiac Solstice Station Wagon to amphibious rescue vehicles will perform the world debut of the "Light Car" concept. The compact sized hatchback will be propelled by four electric motors incorporated in the wheels featuring a range of up to 150 km - 93 miles.

One of the highlights of EDAG's concept is its innovative LED lighting technology that is incorporated in the glass panes. The LED lamps that mark out the outlines of the headlights and rear lights can be modified to the individual taste of the driver thus giving the car a unique appearance.

The new Volkswagen BlueSport concept will make its debut at this week’s Detroit Auto Show, and show the world the latest iteration of VW’s new hard-edge design language, which was first showcased on the Scirocco coupe and then on the Mark VI Golf.


"The design on the Concept BlueSport will represent the carefully balanced mix of technology and aesthetics," says Klaus Bischoff. "The shape is very clean and is reduced to the minimum essential to obtain and simple lines. Powerful unit will be mainly at the wheel arches and the selected intake vent at the rear wheels is clearly signaling that it is a middle trainsets."


The body of the Volkswagen BlueSport concept is made of steel with high shares of high-strength steel to increase the strength of the open car. Weight has been saved with gaps in the aluminum and a top design that only weighs 27 kilograms. In addition to low weight, reduced fuel consumption with automatic stop-start technology at standstill (engine starts at 0.2 seconds) and the generator is used to regenerate the charger to the battery during braking.


The interior of the Volkswagen BlueSport concept is characterized by a moderate style. The touch screen at the center console manages all information and entertainment. Detroit Auto Show: Subaru Legacy Concept Promo Video

Subaru has released a promotional video showing the Legacy concept car unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It shows very much what the next Legacy is going to look like. During the running of the video the vehicle's exterior is unpacked from a number of angles using clever cinematography.


The interior, though not on the video, is highlighted by dash features like touch screens and cameras. Legroom has been vastly improved as well.


The Legacy concept is fitted with a 3.6-litre boxer engine that drives all four wheels thanks to Subaru's patented AWD system. Its appearance is enhanced by LED headlights, a bold fascia and bolder lines. The car is painted in a high gloss Ultimate Silver paint colour. Subaru has gone more upmarket with the Legacy and ditched a lot of the traditional Japanese lines in favour of cleaner, more European design cues.

Detroit Auto Show: Kia Soulster Concept leaks ahead

The image reveals that the Soulster has much in common with the production Soul, including its basic front end, though the rear shows a glass segment and tray in place of the Soul's stout C-pillar.


Kia's Soul hatch just made its debut at the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show in November, but already Kia is teasing a new Soul-based concept to be unveiled at next week's Detroit Auto Show. The first official image of the new concept, called the Soulster, has leaked onto the internet, revealing a compact SUV based on the new hatch.


A thick B-pillar, absent on the Soul, also makes an appearance on the Soulster. This is necessary to accommodate a large glass roof and rear hatch area.

Dodge Circuit EV Unveiled in Detroit

As suspected from some recent spy photos Chrysler's ENVI group has continued to work on the car that first appeared last fall as the DodgeEV. The car that was nothing more than a Lotus Europa with an electric powertrain and Dodge badges now at least looks kind of like it belongs in a Dodge dealership.


The front fascia now sports the traditional Dodge cross-hair grille while the posterior gets cleaner look with a small diffuser. New wheels and a coat of orange paint that Chrysler's press release dubbs"Tangoreen" round out the visual changes.


As near as we can tell from that same press release the only real functional change to the car that is now called the Circuit EV is the positioning of the plug. The original car had the plug on the right side of the car, which would be the driver's side over in the UK where this car was built.


The Circuit now has the plug socket on the left flank where it would be more convenient to charge in this country. The A123 battery pack and 200 kW motor remain from the original iteration.

Detroit debut: Audi Sportback Concept Images Leaked

The Sportback is in fact larger than the A6, and it is built on Audi's new modular longitudinal build kit (LBK), which is adjustable for length, width, and height depending on packaging needs. The same chassis setup will likely form the basis for future larger Audis, including the production version of the Sportback which is expected to be dubbed A7. We'll report back from opening day of the Detroit Auto Show tomorrow morning with more details and photos of the Sportback.


The roofline of the "four-door coupe" is surprisingly fastback like, leading us to believe that the car could in fact be a full-blown hatchback. From the rear three-quarter view, the car actually has a certain Lamborghini Estoque quality to it, but that's mainly because of the taillamps and the angular exhaust outlets.


Audi's hotly-anticipated A7 will bow in conceptual form at tomorrow's North American International Auto Show, and we have the first leaked images of the showcar, dubbed "Sportback." Details at this point remain slim, but as you can see from the photos, all of the major Audi design cues are in play, including a more nuanced version of the brand's horsecollar grille and LED eyelash headlamps.

VW Concept Blue Sports - mittmotor-roadster and green!

When Volkswagen premiere show its roadster concept in Detroit has united the best from two directions. Mittmotor, lightweight chassis and 180 hp turbodiesel that do not go more than 4.3 l/100 km. It provides a C02 emissions of just 113 g / km - making VW Concept Blue Sports for both sports car and green!



According to project manager Thomas Ingenlath, this was to create an appearance of the Concept Blue Sports similar to a powerful athlete. Okay, you want a green but still have serious fun behind the wheel. Right few alternatives on the market, right? But Volkswagen's latest concept car shows that there is light in the tunnel. How about mittmotor, roadster body, lightweight chassis, 180 hp turbomotor, 0-100 km / h in 6.6 seconds and a top speed of 226 km / h? The transmission on the Concept, is, of course, VW's now proven DSG box with dual access. The six gears can operate in automatic mode or manually selected via paddles on the steering wheel. Concept Blue Sports was developed by a team led by Klaus Bischoff, design director for Volkswagen, and Thomas Ingenlath, the head of VW's design studio in Potsdam. The clean, almost minimalist look is of course no coincidence, and connect to what we first saw the Concept Up:

The front has the new, horizontal form language that we first saw the Scirocco and the last of the new Golf VI. This "design DNA" design by Walter de Silva (design head of VW Group), Flavio Manzoni (Head of Creative Design Volkswagen AG ") and Klaus Bischoff. The front has also bi-xenon lights up and taillights with LEDs. The design in terms of increasingly important daytime running lights are C-shaped and built into the main headlamps.
On location in the car you will see only the big screen in the middle, which is pressure sensitive, a "touchscreen" which is becoming more common for most to handle modern mobile phones which operated in the same way. All information and "entertainment" is controlled via the touchscreen and the multifunction steering wheel that sits on my console.
Above the screen are three knobs, which deal with air and when you want it cooler is light blue, and more heat gives a redder lighting. Easy to understand. Equally simple is the top operation, carried out manually and cabbar down in seconds, according to VW, which, in passing, wonder why it will complicate it with a lot of hydraulics and electric motors. Well, why? The easier, the better!

Original 1965 Lamborghini Miura Turin Salon Chassis found

Originally shown at the 1965 Turin Salon, the Lamborghini Miura show car chassis has been in storage since 1978 on the island nation of Cyprus in the Mediterranean. Uncovered just a month ago sitting in the collection of Marios Kritikos, Cyprus' original Lamborghini dealer, the car has been imported to the U.S. and is undergoing complete restoration to show-car condition.


The car sat, essentially untouched, until December 2008, 43 years since it was displayed in Turin. When it was discovered - complete with the original invoice for the chassis - a pair of Miura specialist collectors helped to get the car to its new owner, and it is currently in the process of being restored to its original condition at the facilities of the Bobileff Motorcar Company in San Diego, California.



The 1965 Turin Salon Miura was Lamborghini's first transverse, mid-mounted V12 engine and is considered by some to be the forefather of all road-going supercars.

Acura 2+1 Coupe Concept's Design Proposal

The new V10-powered NSX may have bitten the dust due to the enduring global economic crisis (click here for details) but that doesn't mean that Honda fans can't continue to dream on.


The Acura 2+1 Coupe Concept you see pictured above is a design proposal for a more affordable and down to earth NSX created by Colombian designer Leon Paz during his internship at Honda R&D Americas.


Acura 2+1 Coupe NSX Concept Study The concept features an aggressive look that adopts what Paz calls, a multi-faceted design language.


"The idea was to show very aggressive styling on the body and keep it very simple on the top section with a dynamic roof line flow," Paz explains. One of the most interesting styling elements of the Acura coupe with its 2+1 seating arrangement is the prolonged transparent rooftop that allows a see-through view of the engine compartment.
