New Nissan 370Z Pricing to Start at £26,895

370Z is now offered with a new 7-speed automatic priced at £1400. It is equipped with Downshift Rev Matching (DRM) and is designed to offer quick, manual-like shifting when operated in manual mode, using either the gear selector or paddles behind the steering wheel. In automatic mode, the driver can relax and let the gearbox change gear, reacting to the driving style to choose the most appropriate shift-mapping.


The entry level 370Z, priced at £26895, comes equipped with Intelligent Key, engine stop/start button, power adjustable seats, climate controlled air-conditioning, 18” alloy wheels, automatic xenon headlamps, curtain airbag, alarm, audio with auxiliary input and Bluetooth hands free phone connection.



GT Pack priced at £30195 gets 19” forged RAYS alloy wheels, heated seats trimmed in black suede and leather, a six-CD Bose audio system with eight speakers, cruise control, speed limiter and Synchro Rev Control; a new innovation that automatically matches the revs, during up and down-shifts, with the manual gearbox, making gear changes faster and smoother.


Topping the range and priced at £31895 is the GT Ultimate which includes Persimmon suede leather along with a DVD satellite navigation system with full European mapping covering 33 countries and voice guidance in seven languages. Hands free operation is possible with voice recognition which also integrates with the MP3 compatible audio system.


Metallic paint is the only other option available for £450 and with this you also get Nissan’s Scratch Shield Paint*, which, thanks to its advanced resin coat, automatically repairs the light scratches and blemishes which are typically collected by light stone chips.


Compared with the outgoing 350Z, the new 370Z now sports a shorter wheelbase, greater use of lightweight body materials resulting in a weight reduction of 32kg, updated engine with more horsepower, all of which combine to improve its agility and responsiveness.


Inside, buyers will welcome the removal of the rear strut brace (replaced with less intrusive structural reinforcements) and the addition of a new “shelf” area behind the seats, creating an ideal storage area. A retractable cover is standard on the 370Z and a locking glove compartment has also been added.

2009 Nissan GT-R called the Zele R35 GT-R Complete Edition

Unveiled today at the 2009 Tokyo AutoSalon, the production car is based on a prototype shown off at SEMA last year. Using carbon fibre for the body and titanium for the exhaust, the tuner has shaved weight from the car in almost every conceivable place.


Japanese tuners Zele International have released details of their modified 2009 Nissan GT-R called the Zele R35 GT-R Complete Edition. The carbon fibre menace has been tweeked out with an aero kit, bumpers, front and rear spoilers, and side skirts. The air ducts, grille, and side mirrors have also been revisited. Carbon fibre is also used for a roof.


But front and center is the engine tuning, which sees output increase to 550hp. Inside, Recaro seats covered in Alcantara have replaced the stock seats. The car itself sits on new 20-inch black alloys, which contain a large set of brake pads. An upgraded suspension is also included.


Only eight Zele R35 GT-R Complete Edition vehicles will be released. Pricing begins at 18,880,000 yen ($208,000). This is 3,130,000 yen ($34,500) more expensive than Nissan's GT-R SpecV. Delivery of the Zele R35 will begin in March.


And if you do not want the bright orange colour choice, Zele says that is no problem. The company offers to create and mix any metallic or pearl colour their customers desire.

Nissan GT-R Spec V revealed

Nissan wishes to let Godzilla roar one more time with the internet reveal of the new Nissan GT-R Spec V edition. You have seen the spy shots and you have seen the spy videos across the web but now you can see the modified Godzilla GT-R in this recently released photo.

What makes this Spec V Nissan GT-R so special? Well for one under the hood there is a new high gear boost control device made specifically for the Spec V which "momentarily increases boost of the engine's twin turbochargers for greater torque in the intermediate-to-high speed ranges to provide a more powerful feeling of acceleration, while also allowing the engine to operate at a lower speed for improved fuel economy."

Branew_ Nissan 370Z Tuning Package

At the upcoming 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon that runs from January 9 to 11, Japanese tuning firm Branew will launch a complete performance package for the freshly revealed Nissan 370Z.


Branew's tasty exterior kit that will also be available in carbon-fiber, consists of a front spoiler, side steps, rear spoiler and a rear wing. The sport coupe's looks are complemented by a set of multispoke alloys that will be offered in various sizes.


Performance-wise, Branew has developed a new sports exhaust system and reprogrammed the 3.7-liter V6's ECU. In terms of handling, the Japanese tuner has upgraded the 370Z's brake system and added a new sport suspension kit. Further details will be released with the car's debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon in January.

Spied: Nissan GT-R FIA GT Spec Race Car

Nissan have recently been testing their latest race car prototype which is most likely for the FIA GT racing at circuits in Japan. Above we can see a photo of the car testing at Fuji Speedway. AutoSport magazine with another set of spy pics also just hit news stands in Japan.


Giant AP Racing brakes from the SuperGT series cars find there place behind the Rays forged aluminium wheels which are also taken straight from SuperGT. The rear wing is also a new GT spec item which may have some relation to it’s SuperGT cousin.


Some of the obvious changes we see hint at some significant upgrades. Front bumper is replaced with a carbon item with a more aggressive splitter, the front fenders are flared out and built from carbon as well. The wide body continues along the side skirts to the rear quarters which are bulked out and vented for the rear brakes.

Nismo S-tune 370Z more Official Pictures and details

The Nismo Omori Factory, just a couples of meters away from our office in Tokyo, finally released their S-Tune package for the 370Z, better known as Fairlady Z or Z34.

Composed of two different packages, your shiny new Z can either receive the S-Tune Aero or S-Tune performance package. If you're really in love with your new Z and have some spare cash, ask Nissan to install both packages.

The Nismo S-Tune Performance package includes Nismo break pads, S-Tune suspension, Nismo stainless exhaust body brace set, and Nismo LMZ5 19" wheels for a total of 1,028 Million Yen.

The Nismo S-Tune Aero Package includes a redesigned front bumper spoiler, side skirts, rear bumper spoiler, trunk spoiler, and floor mate for a total of 411,000 Yen.

They're not atrociously expensive and make a fine new addition to this already amazing new Z.

Nissan Unveiled NV2500 Concept

Today at the Nissan Technical Center in Farmington Hills, MI, Nissan revealed its new NV2500 concept commercial van. The NV2500 is a preview of its upcoming light commercial vehicle that will debut in 2010.

The NV2500 will be taking the place of the Titan pickup at the company's Canton, MS assembly plant and take Nissan into a new market segment in North America. Nissan's Communications VP Alan Buddendeck explained that the automaker competes in the commercial vehicle market around the world and wants to round that out with North America.

Car News: Nissan Fairlady Z revealed for Japan

The car that the rest of us know as the Nissan 370Z is now on sale in its home market, bearing the familiar Fairlady Z nameplate that it’s traditionally worn in Japan. The updated, retro-modern styling, new 247 kW (337 PS) VQ37VHR 3.7-liter V6 and choice of six-speed rev-matching manual or seven-speed automatic transmissions are the same that we saw at the car’s Los Angeles Auto Show debut.

The new, more compact body carries styling cues from classic Fairlady models and distinct “Z” badging. Lightening measures such as aluminum body panels keep the weight down, and the new interior uses higher-quality materials including a new “Forte Suede” cloth. Soft-touch materials make the cabin a friendlier place, and the new Fairlady’s interior has been optimized for performance driving as well. A factory-installed HDD-based CARWINGS navigation system is available.

On-road performance has been increased. In addition to the lightening measures, the car is more powerful, of course. The groundbreaking new transmissions are coupled to an independent suspension and aluminum-caliper opposed-piston Akebono brakes at all four corners. Nissan’s Vehicle Dynamic Control stability control is also standard.

The Fairlady Z’s home-market pricing ranges from 3,622,500 yen ($38K) to 4,462,500 ($47K) yen, including Japan’s consumption tax. Some Japan-specific “performance” specifications that you might not have heard include the Fairlady Z’s 95% recyclability rate, and a reduction of interior volatile organic compounds.

Nissan expects to sell five hundred units a month in Japan. The Fairlady Z goes on sale today at Nissan dealers across Japan, and weekend sales launch events will be held December 6-7 and 13-14.
